Description

It would be great to be able to edit categories/versions without having to go to the manage project page.

Indeed, we often realise the lack of these fields when we are on the report issue page.

This feature should be available only for manager and administrator users.

Is it typical for your installation that managers or administrators report issues?

Perhaps not optimal, but I generally set up a category as the catch all. Usually named "ToBeSorted" or something to that degree, a) issues can easily enough be reported without worrying too much about getting the category exactly right at report time and b) one can filter based on that category, creating/editing categories as needed (and of course re-categorizing as needed).

In fact, we have users who are reporter on tracker Level and are manager on one or several projects they are in charge for.
This, because we want to separate the différent projects (25).

Thank you for the the tip of the tobesorted state.
In fact this feature request is the first thing that people notice when they use this bug tracker:
they don't understand that we have to prepare the project before reporting.
This would be a very confortable feature.
Could it be add with a plugin?

If yes, which api event can be used?
