Summary	0015823: Project View Page
Description	It would be nice to have a page which provides information about the project to all the users. Current manage project page is available only to Managers/Administrators. Use Case: In our Mantis instance, there are 20 projects and some of them have identical project names. So we use the description field to explain the details of the project. But unfortunately reporters/developers are unable to view the details and they always end up with the wrong projects. Things got worse when we established couple of testing teams which are being shared with the above projects. So I would suggest to have a view page for each project which will show the basic information and summary of issues. An ideal example is Redmine. I have attached a screenshot of the redmine project index page.

dregad 2013-05-08 08:22 developer ~0036810	I'm not really sure how an overview page will prevent users from selecting the wrong project, especially if they have the same name... That said, this probably something we could do to replace the current "main" page which, IMO, is completely useless as it stands.

libregeek 2013-05-08 08:52 reporter ~0036814	@dregad A minor correction in my use case: I didn't meant identical, instead I meant similar. For example, we have two projects ABC WebForm Development and ABC WebApp Development. Currently we provide the difference between these two in an external wiki page. I guess we don't need to replace the current main page, but it would be nice if it is enhanced to show the project description, it's members, the release schedule, etc... If All projects is selected, then it should all the available/allowed projects as a list and if a specific project is selected, then it should show the corresponding description and issue summary. There should also be a section for the associated sub-projects
