Summary0017329: XML special character handling in bug description
Description

Special XML characters like & amp ; in the description, steps to reproduce, additional information or note are replaced by a single character. This makes it impossible to report bugs about XML special characters (i.e. like this one). Note that I have to include spaces in order to make the special characters stay.

Steps To Reproduce
  1. Report a new issue
  2. Enter & amp ; (without the spaces) into the description
  3. Submit report
  4. View issue details of the new report
  5. --> & amp ; has been replaced by &
  6. Click "Edit"
  7. --> The original text is gone, just one character left

Not reproducible on latest version.

We are resolving this issue as "no change required", because it was reported against an old version of MantisBT which is no longer supported.

We recommend that you upgrade to the latest stable version [1]; if after doing so the problem still exists, do not hesitate to reopen the issue.
