Summary | 0003696: Save login name in a cookie
Description | For our installation I use the 'Save login' feature on the login screen to also store the user name into a cookie. This cookie is used to fill the user name field when the user returns. It seems to me that this is common practise for a lot of systems, and therefore I would like to see this feature in Mantis also.

Based on the fix for 3424, this feature may not be needed anymore. Does this make sense? |

I think issue 3424 is about the 'Save Login' feature not working. As Frescard described in a note for issue 3424, I think as the 'Save Login' more as a 'Remember Username' feature. That is, after a logout and returning to the login page, it allready shows the user name. My perception is that most users mostly use it that way, or would like it to work. |
