I tried to see if my experience is mentioned already, but I don't seem to find it and try my luck in this post:

We recevice the tickets by email, but we noticed that not every email makes it to a ticket in Mantis.
At first we could not point a vinger on the trigger, but we now noticed that it usual seems to occur when a customer uses the pipe character ("|") in their email-footer.

What do I need to do in order to replace the pipe character into a space or something or just remove that character.

Which version of MantisBT are you running?
Which version of EmailReporting are you running?
Are there any Collation errors on the EmailReporting configuration page?
