I know how to change the default view status of an issue between private and public, but in our application, it would be useful for our customers (reporters) to create issues with Public view status by default, and our staff (always Developers or higher) to Private by default to avoid embarrassment. I can't see a way to do this without hacking bug_report.php - have I missed something? If not it would be great if this option could be added!
