Summary	0005690: Allow users to watch others
Description	I'm missing a watch feature, which allows users to watch specific users and get emails that would have been sent to the other users. Example: User "frank" is on holidy. User "george" wants to watch his account to get notified of all changes of bugs monitored by/assigned to/reported by/commented on by "frank" according to the email notify settings of user "george".
Additional Information	My use case is as follows. I'd like to assign all new bugs to some "inbox" email alias (eg. "product-component-inbox"). Users with specific interests in this component will watch this "inbox" user and will get notified about new bugs. This reduces administration tasks because each user can decide himself if he feels responsible for a specific component.

Mailinglists might be a workaround with Mantis but this requires additional administration effort for managing the mailinglists and it wouldn't work in the vacation replacement case (the frank/george example).

littlebutty 2009-05-20 19:37 reporter ~0021866	I too would like the ability to pick a user and add them as a watcher/monitor of a particular ticket without having to contact them and tell them to go login and click the "monitor issue" button.
