I am using Mantis 1.1.6 and when it sends email notifications the "Reported By:" and "Assigned To:" fields are blank despite them actually having those fields populated in the database.

Does anyone use mantis for tracking defects other than with software? If so what was your experience and how much customization was done to accomplish it (if any).

I get emails from mantis but the reported-by and assigned-to fields are always blank:

The key is to have a version defined that is unreleased. One then sets issues to be resolved in the target with the same version number. Issues that have not been resolved stay in the Roadmap under that version number. Once they are resolved they get a line through them and they show up on the ...

Have you checked the web server logs for errors?
Is Mantis sending out *any* emails?

In addition I should have mentioned the versions I see this in.

I have both a 1.1.6 install and a 1.1.8 install one on a Linux server and one on a Windows server and they both do it.

I have enabled the extended project $g_show_extended_project_browser = ON;

I when I select the extended project the sub-projects display a <?>&raquo; prepended to the project description.
