i'd want to know how to force a non required field becoming required like fixed_in_version because i need it when you update the bug state (bug_change_status_page.php).
Is there any example ou tutorial?

Look in project manage page, in the bottom on the page below sub project management and above versions management. You can manage category.

Thank you preed but when i change this value in my config_inc file, my manager have no access to the user administration.
I check in the permissions report: the manager have the right to manage users. But in fact it doesn't work.
Maybe i have forgotten something?

No pb ;)
But not all the user (like manager) are allowed to connect to the server and update the php file. So it's better to modify the custom fiels from Mantis administration for their own project. :D

No offence, but the way I see it, you have to update *something* each time you want to change ...

For me, i often update my customs fiels enumerations and i can't update everty time the php file, so i decided to change the type of the column VARCHAR(255) to TEXT and i updated the file manage_custom_field_edit_page.php and i deleted the maxlength property.

Manage > Manage configurations > Configuration Report
