I was given a task of identifying some options/solutions for bug tracking for one of my big corporate clients. I was curious to hear people's opinion if Mantis could be considered a viable option for a big-time, large corporation.

Regarding your 1st question, I'm pretty sure the answer is 'yes, the filter will be saved', at least that's my understanding. Have you looked through the user documentation in the filters section?
