Re: How to make project read-only?

So there are a dozen or two ways to change/modify an issue, but the only thing that's included in "updating an issue" is changing the summary or description?

Re: How to make project read-only?

atrol wrote: 07 Dec 2022, 18:53 You have to uncheck "Update readonly issues"
Would that prevent adding/deleting notes, adding/deleting attachments, changing issue state, assigning issue, adding/deleting monitors, etc.?

Or does "update issue" only refer to changing the summary and description?

Re: How to make project read-only?

I also tried setting the threshold where an issue becomes read-only to "new". That didn't really seem to do anything either. I could still modify issues whith state > new in all sorts of ways. What does it actually mean for an issue to be "read-only"? It seems like all of the cha...

Re: How to make project read-only?

If you have less read-only projects than read-write project, you coould change the settings to read-only for "ALL PROJECTS" and enable read-write for the fewer remaining ones. Yes, I was thinking about that. I've been trying to figure out if/how configuration info is inherited by projects...

Re: How to make project read-only?

You have to disable a lot more check boxes in sections "Issues", "Notes", "Tags" and "Attachments". I was afraid of that. :/ I need to do this for dozens of projects, so it looks like I'm going to spend an afternoon clicking on checkboxes. Or is there a way t...

Re: How to make project read-only?

Select the project in project selection Goto page Manage > Configuration > Workflow Tresholds Uncheck all check boxes in rows "Report an issue" and "Update an issue" Click "Update Configuration" on bottom of the page. That doesn't seem to work. I did that (as admin). T...

How to make project read-only?

I need to switch a number of projects to "read-only". [MantisBT 2.25.2 Schema 211] Within those projects, nobody (even an admin) should be allowed to report a new issue or modify an existing issue in any way. Google has found that this question has been asked a number of times over the pas...

Re: Upload of XML attachments hangs

And of course it's a Cloudflare issue. After a bit of futzing around, I figured out how to bypass the Cloudflare CDN and connect the browser directly to the Apache server where MantisBT is running, and the XML files in question upload/attach just fine. That means that nobody will tell you what about...

Upload of XML attachments hangs

[MantisBT 2.25.2 Schema Version 211] I've recently run into a problem where upload of certain XML files as attachments hangs forever at the 100% mark. Oddly, it seems to be a combination of content and filename. Changing the filename to various non .xml names doesn't help. Putting the file in an unc...

REST: how to fetch issues with specific project id?

When you get rest/issues/?project_id=N you get not only issues with project id of N, you also get all of the issues in subprojects of project id N. I don't want the latter, only the former. How do you get issues with a specific project id? It's easy enough to filter out issues from the returned arra...

Never mind. I forgot about the default page size of 50, and the first 50 issues were all in subprojects.

REST get issues for project_id N only returns issues in subprojects of N

I have a bunch of top-level projects, each with a handful of subprojects. There are issues in both the top-level projects and the subprojects. When I request issues for a top-level project using rest/issues?project_id=N I get only issues from subprojects of N. None of the issues returned have the pr...

How to delete attachment (but not note)?

How do you delete at attached file? It used to be possible to delete an attached file, but with Version 2.24.0, that option seem to be gone. No, I don't want to delete the note it is associated with. The problem is our crappy e-mail system appends a slew of images to every e-mail, and they end up in...

Mantis vs. Apache ModSecurity

I'm running into "500" errors from Apache because ModSecurity is enabled, and it's seeing patterns in submitted text (usually notes) that trigger an error (it thinks it's detecting an SQL injection attack). I belienve I know how to disable ModSecurity, but I'm a bit reluctant to do so. Doe...

Re: Questions about markdown support

I believe I've found answers to a couple of my questions: When markdown formatting is enabled, how will that affect old notes and descriptions where people have used some of the html tags that were allowed (e.g. <pre></pre>)? I don't know yet. It would be nice if markdown processing was only applied...
