Sub Projects
I have a user who I have granted Admin rights to a particular project. He needs to be able to add "new" sub projects to it. However, the only option available is to add existing ones. Is there any way to grant permission to create new sub-projects only in the projects he has admin over? Th...

Re: Mantis Best Practice - Capturing Customer/Client Name
Would recommend creating a custom field as either text or list - list is better as it gets around the spelling issue but needs to be maintained

Re: How to customise Status per Project
They're different projects - we don't use mantis for bug tracking but for task assignments. One project deals with support, one with procurement and so on. The procurement project has additional statuses to the support one. I've used the workflow to ignore these addtional ones.

Status Values
Mantis 1.1.2
MS SQL 2005
Quick question, do the values for Status get stored in the SQL database anywhere. I am running a report which looks at statues and converts the 'int' to text, but I don't want to have to edit the report every time a new status is created.
Thanks in advance

Category Auto Assignment
Hi
Where is the information in regard to auto assignment of issues based on categories within a project. I was expecting it to be dbo.mantis_project_category_table but it's not. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Custom Fields - List Values by Project
Is there any way to set the List values for a custom field by Project.
I have a closure category field which, depending on the project, needs different values - but reporting on as a whole. Is there any way to do this, as it seems to be only possible to set one list.
Thanks in advance

LDAP
Quick question.
We currently have mantis up and running using mantis logins. Is it possible to migrate to LDAP without loss of historial assignment information and without existing accounts having to be reconfigured?

Re: Response & Resolution time metrics
I have written a reporting system in Paradox to do just this. You have to be good at SQL but basically the query looks something like : select bug.id, bug."project_id", bug."date_submitted", history."date_modified", custom."value" as "Ref" from manti...

Using Mantis v on a Windows 2003 server using IIS6, PHP 5.2 and MS SQL 2005 During the day, some users will experience severe delays in pages opening, or not opening completely (though status bar for IE shows done). The IIS server hosts another webs which runs fine. I can also query the SQL backend ...
