I started with MantisBT 1.1.x, so I don't know whether this is available in 1.0.x.
Use page [ Manage ] -> [ Manage Configuration ] -> [ E-mail Notifications ]
Enable checkbox in row "Status changes to closed" column "User who is handling the issue"

To share accounts you can use LDAP for authentication.
This is supported by both products.

You are able to customize which kind of e-mails do you want to get.
For all issues you entered, all you are monitoring and all you were assigned to, you will get e-mail whenever some values of the issue are changed. By disabling the appropriate checkbox, you will not be notified by e-mail.

Seems there is no documentation for this.

You are logged in, are able to view other pages of MantisBT like "My View", "View Issues", ... but are not able to view the page behind link "Main" ? If yes, first start with giving more details, for example which version of MantisBT do you use, Operating system, Browse...
