Re: Time Tracking
Thank you. I understand your clarification of "deprecated". I will begin testing 1.3 to see how it works. I haven't followed the Mantis dev process in years. Are you still accepting proposals for modifications from the community? If yes, can you point me to a document that describes the co...

Re: Time Tracking
We use the MantisBT core functionality to capture time tracking values in the bug notes. Upon that we have created a page to the MantisBT web app nav bar for quick time entry, added some database tables and a desktop app for billing and reporting sensitive information. Save for few links, all the ad...

Time Tracking
We have invested a great deal of effort extending the time tracking capabilities in MantisBT v1.2.x using the time tracking plugin as a basis. I see now that it has been deprecated in v1.3. I would like to learn the reason(s) for this action, and to learn of other options available, so that I can pl...

Re: Where did "project documents" go?
Thank you. That worked perfectly.
I will keep an eye open for the plugin.

Where did "project documents" go?
We upgraded to 1.2.8 and it seems the "documents" page has disappeared. I am not referring to mantis user guides. I am writing about the page where all the documents pertaining to a project appear. It used to be on the main navigation band at the far right end. Did I overlook some setting?...

Where to get font/files for captcha?
I setup MantisBT 1.2 on a CentOS 5 barebones box. Mantis is working fine so far. However, the captcha image for the new account does not appear. The server OS distro is intended to run headless so has no support for GUI stuff. I have checked one obvious path, /etc/fonts/, and there isn't anything in...

building on mantis: user logon
I have create a companion application that mines data from the mantis database. The app is rather boring but useful to us. The custom app is not built with PHP, but another toolset. I would like to have the custom application use the MantisBT user table to authorize users. I don't need to create acc...

Re: Data Model For Mantis
I don't really know. I am not involved as a developer, and reverse models are always a bit weak. I recently came across Aqua Data Studio which provides a pretty good modeling tool. Perhaps I can winnow some additional information if time allows.

Disable Edit & Delete of Bugnote
I am integrating a custom data system. When posting is complete, I would like to prevent mantis users from editing or deleting the bugnotes related to posted records in the other system. The installation of Mantis is running version 1.1.8, over PHP 4 and MySQL. We cannot upgrade this server yet but ...

Re: Import XML Files into Mantis
One method would be to use XSLT to read the XML file and transform it into a structure suitable for importing into the database using SQL insert statements. This would require some planning to consider primary and foreign keys, etc, but is a common enough task. The transformation may be easier witho...

Re: Data Model For Mantis
This request seems to pop up from time to time. I have made a simple ERD for version 1.1.5 available at http://www.mophilly.com/wiki/MantisBT_Data_Model . I don't mean to mislead; I am not promising to keep this up to date. However, I will do so as our needs demand it. Also, there is a link on the p...

Re: Only displaying hyperlinks
The links you provided require a password.
Would it be possible to provide a screen shot of each? A couple of small PNG files would do.

Re: Is there a way to make a bug viewable to all users?
I believe you need only to "send a reminder" to the user to add that user to the monitor bug list for that issue. Navigate to the issue you want the user to see, and just under the navigation bar will be a link "Send a reminder". Click that to open the message dialog. Along the l...

Re: PHP move_uploaded_file destination string missing delimiter
Problem solved. For anyone following this thread here are the changes to make this work. I changed the permissions of the upload directory to 777 (drwxrwxrwx). This change was applied to the directory only. I removed the override of $g_absolute_path_default_upload_folder from the config_inc.php file...

Re: PHP move_uploaded_file destination string missing delimiter
It probably needs to be 777 (you need the x on the directory to be able to access files in it). I will try this, but I thought x meant files were executable. I don't really want files stored in the uploads directory to be invoked in any way; just read and write. What is the "Upload File Path&q...
