Re: Open new Bug on "Not Released" Version

I don't believe this is currently an option.

Re: Restrict viewing, but allow reporting

Olegos was correct. The option you need is the "Limit reporter's access to their own issues" option on the Manage -> Manage Configurations -> Workflow Thresholds page. There should be a checkbox immediately to the right of the issue. Once turned on, this restricts users with a Reporter acc...

Re: No settings for "email on updated" via web interface?

There is no "email on updated" or "email on any change" option. Each possible change has it's own option, so selecting all of them is equivalent to an "email on update" option. I am not sure you want all the checkboxes under "Developer" checked, unless you onl...

Re: emailing on unassigned (new) bugs

You can have emails sent to any access group you want ( I assume you are Manager or Administrator ). So you could set it up to send an email to the "Managers" group for each new issue. I don't believe you can tell it to only send an email about new issues if they are not assigned to anybod...

Re: v1.1.5 - "Unwanted" notification emails

I don't have 1.1.5, but whatever this "guest" access level is, uncheck all the boxes under that column. As long as all the boxes under the "User who reported issue" column are checked, they will still receive notifications about their own issues.

Re: The standard Severity list

These are a work in progress, but here are my notes for guiding users/developers on how to rate the severity of an issue. The amount of negative impact would be based on things like money or extra man-hours necessary to workaround the issue. These notes are for severities in a general IT project, no...

Re: Project level Access setting

Not sure what you are asking but here are some thoughts. Users have a default access level. That is their default access levels for public projects. You can add a user with a project-specific access to any project, private or public. Managers can manage almost everything about a project depending on...

Re: How to turn on captcha?

Most mantis configuration is done through setting configuration options, either via the Mantis interface or the config_inc.php file. Here is the relevant option from the config_defaults_inc.php file: # use captcha image to validate subscription it requires GD library installed $g_signup_use_captcha ...

Re: Notification of new issues

I can't help you there, we started with 1.1.2 and if it ain't broke, usually don't upgrade. In 1.1.2 the option you need is on the Manage -> Manage Configuration -> Email Notifications page. There should be an option named " Status changes to 'new' ". If you check the box for this row unde...

Re: Notifications to Managers and Admin

Manage -> Manage Configuration -> Email Notifications. Make sure you are in the correct project scope (dropdown in upper-right). To apply to all managers and administrators for all projects, use the "All Projects" scope. Check the boxes for the " Status changes to 'new' " option ...

Re: Notification of new issues

In 1.1.2, this should happen automatically if you have configured the "Email Notifications" page correctly under the Manage Configuration section of mantis. I believe you need to make sure the access group you want to receive the notification has a checkbox for the option about "issue...

Re: Email from Assigner to Assignee

Not sure what you are asking exactly since there is no Assigner for an issue as any manager and usually any developer can assign an issue, but doing so does not make that person the Assigner for that issue. There is just the Reporter and the Assignee. Anyways, what you probably want is somewhere on ...

Re: email notification for admin in private projects

Go to the Manage -> Manage Configuration -> Email Notifications page. Check the box under "Administrator" for this option: Status changes to 'new'. That should send an email to the Administrator whenever an issue is set to the "new" status, which happens at creation. If the issue...
