I think that the manager could take a few minutes to setup a SPF record
dig TXT returns nothing

I am not sure but it seems that Google servers are used; I had success in getting one of my customers to
setup his domain so:

v=spf1 ~all."

Hope this helps (it would have in my case since my first registration to this forum failed because *my* antispam rejected
the and I had to whitelist it).

We have an TXT spf record with the following value:
"v=spf1 ~all"
