Hi
since I found nothing about a setup like this in the docs I would like to ask if someone has some further information ...
Is it possible to use 2 Mantis applications running on different servers using only one underlying database?
I would like to install a second server running Mantis on an Windows system which uses the same Mysql-Database than my Linux installation does.
Usecase: have one Mantis server in your DMZ and one in your internal network ... different features on application level but same database for both systems
Multiple Mantis frontends possible?

Re: Multiple Mantis frontends possible?
I never tried myself to do it the way you propose, but should work.
I would setup a Reverse Proxy for this scenario
- better in terms of security (minimizes additional software installation in DMZ, no direct access of the database needed/possible)
- you don't have to install a 2nd Mantis and keep it synced (upgrades, patches, plugins, customization, ...) to your internal server
- I assume it's better in terms of performance in most use cases
