This is the Mantis forum. So I don't expect that users which are not using Mantis will read this.
If you feel attracted to alternative solutions, go for it.
In this case, it would be good if you could post what was the main reason to choose the alternative instead of Mantis.

By the way, Mantis is web-based. Also hosted solutions are available
