I'm not sure when this started (2.22?) but now, when I command + v text into a note field mantis automatically adds ann attachment of the pasted text in addition to putting the text in the note field. Is there an option to turn this off?

I'm on a Mac, running latest version of Firefox.

But i am not able to reproduce. I am running latest version of Firefox, but not latest version of maOS (using 10.13.6)

Are you sure you copied just text, but not a text file?

So now that I've asked I can't reliably recreate it but could it possible be when I try to pasted formatted html into the text box that causes something like this to happen?

So it did just happen...
In a project I opened a ticket and in the "Add note" section I pasted text I highlighted from Microsoft outlook.
It pasted the text properly but also attached an image "image.png" of the pasted text. (See image attached)

The copied text does have html formatted bits at the bottom.
Weird thing is, it only happens the first time I paste. When I paste a second time, it does not act the same way.
(Very strange)

That depends how the application from which you copied the text sends it to the clipboard. Sometimes it allows multiple formats (e.g. Microsoft Excel).

Thanks...I'll keep an eye out of there for updates. For now I'm just pasting, then click the remove image link. Not terrible but not ideal.
