Post by bukosknr »

Does anyone know of any open source web based project management tools? Anyone have any experience with any of them?

If you are looking for something Ready-to-Use,free-of-charge and User Friendly, use google sites to create your project website. Very good features available. Try it.

For Issue/Bug tracking, use Mantis.

For Test management, use TestLink

For project planning/scheduling >> I suppose it is the same old Microsoft Project. Excel is also great for all purposes.

The above is a good combination of efficient tools for project mgt.
My advice : do not waste time/cost on a single "project management tool" that try to do everything.

my office uses SantexQ (http://www.santexq.com ) and we really like it. it's really user-friendly and good for managing projects, tasks, timesheets and printing reports. it's also free so that's a big plus.
