Excuse me for not searching in this forum for a solution but i'm on this project since last Friday...and this is good to be a nightmare.
I don't have a lot of information in what previously guys have done to this tools...and for this reason i upgrade with minimal modification...
I'have a Mantis 1.1.0a3 installation on Windows 2003 and i need to migrate it to Linux.
Mysql server (5) and client (5) doing UTF8 on the Windows, i export the DB (UTF8) and the mantis rep files to my linux (with Mysql 5)
It's works ok and appear fine
I download and extract 1.2.0 rep, inject the 1.1.0a3 Dump into a new base for this installation, copy content of configuration files.
Use Upgrade procedure /admin/install... and the éèàù ect not appear correctly... (exemple è)
In the DB, information are register like the 1.2.0 display... Is there a prob with the DB content ? or only a parameter that have change since the 1.1.0a3 conf ?
For Information, my mantis is used mostly by French but with Japanese too
Migration 1.1.0a3 to 1.2.0 = Charset probs
