Send copy of issue to another person

Hi,

I know I can only assign an issue to one person (and I have that working well), but how can I also send a copy of that issue to another person e.g. the project manager, at the same time?

Advice appreciated.

You can use "Send a reminder" on "View Issue Details" for it.

Okay Atrol, just to make sure I understand you, I need to raise the issue first, then after it's raised I go back into it ('View Issue Details') and click on 'Send a Reminder'. Not quite what I had in mind but it appears to work. It just means another step to take.

Is there no way of doing this when I raise the issue initially?

Thanks

You could use Manage > Manage Configuration > E-mail Configurations
Check row "Status changes to new" in column "manager" if you want all assigned managers of the project to get e-mail whenever a new issue is entered.

Note that when you send a reminder to a user they are also added to as a monitor of the issue and will receive email notifications for all issue updates. So if you want to restrict notifications to an individual manager rather than all managers on the project, this might be the best option for you.

Thanks Sandy,
yes I discovered that through testing.
