Markdown syntax and showing HTML tags

Hello,
In a ticket I want to use the followin markdown:
Some text
```
<versionsource type="rest" url="https://some.url.com" />
```
Once saved Mantis shows it like this:
<versionsource type="rest" url="https://some.domain.com" />
(Screenshot at https://screenshots.firefox.com/CRuyRtY ... survey.org )
Any idea how to fix this? Or how to show (not use) HTML inside the markdown code tag?
I tried to replace < with < but no avail.
Thank you for reading this.
