No result when filtering with parent_of or child_of

Hello,
Mantis 1.0.8
When I filter using the relationships parent_of or child_of and specifying an issue number I get no answer, although the child/parent issues exist.
Strange because the "has duplicate" filter works
Any ideas? thanks
