New Mantis, with existing issues

Post by mother10 »

Hello,

I am thinking of setting up a new Mantis.
But there is a whole list of existing issues, of which some are already done.

I would like to have them all in Mantis so everything is on 1 place, and we can go on from there.
But when I would enter those old issues in the new Mantis, their dates will be the most recent date (today).
Is it possible somehow to change that date back into the original one from the old list?

I could use a new own field for that, but that is not what I want.

Any ideas?

Not sure if I understand what you want.
I would export the database of the old system and import it on the new system.

Hello,

Thanks for the answer.
But I mean that there is no Mantis yet, so I start fresh.
Install Mantis and no issues yet, at least nowhere in any other Mantis.
So there is nothing from any Mantis to export.

The issues are in an excel, not in any Mantis yet.
How do I get those in Mantis WITHOUT having them all on the same date (the date I entered them in Mantis)
But that is not the date they were originally discovered.
I want that original date in Mantis, but if possible without having to add a new user field.

Maybe this plugin (never tried myself) could be an option to start with https://github.com/mantisbt-plugins/csv-import
