Disable the "Edit" button of a ticket when it is assigned

Is there any possibility to block the "Edit" button of a ticket once it has been assigned?

So nobody can edit anymore? Strange cuase then it stays assigned. I take it you mean that only the assignee can edit the post?
If that is what youe mean, as far as I know that would require changes to core files.

What I mean is to block editing of the report (not comments) once it is assigned. So that when the report is in progress, no one can make changes to the content.

Once the entry is assigned, I want only the contractor to be able to edit it.

So there is no simple method to do this?

Well you can look at assigning corresponding levels, that will be able to solve must of the possible changes, just user Reporter/Developer & Manager.
This however will limit the strength of the tool.
Any changes are looged so one knbows what has been changed when and by whom.
