I've used both Chrome and Firefox, but I would rather go along with Firefox, as Chrome opens with difficulty sometimes.

I've also got Vista installed but don't like using IE. As a user, is Firefox the next best browser to use for Mantis? Or using Chrome or Firefox will (or shouldn't) make a difference?

Yes I too agree with charles80mansford - I prefer Firefox with Mantis.
