What is the status of report a bug via email?
On the web http://wiki.mantisbt.org/doku.php/mantisbt:features
it says "Reporting issues via Email (available as a patch - currently being integrated)"

I am using the latest alpha built and I can't find this anywhere.

I know that it's a very old thread. I got this while searching for articles related to Email reporting in Mantis.

Here is the status of the *Report bug via email*:

This feature is implemented as a plugin in mantis and you can find more info in the above link.

In what version is this? in my version 1.1.8 does not have a bug_report_mail.php file.
Need i do a update in my MBT?

for 1.1.8 you can find description how to make it available by making adjustments to the code.
As of version 1.2 it is available as plugin.

The upgrade will resolve that issue or still be will necesary modify the source code?

Installing is enough, no modifications in the source code needed. You do need to configure it but thta is also within Mantis

Hi ,

I have installed the EmailAPI, in mantis Bug tracker , I have seen a lot of illogic things:

-> Why we must specifiy the project and categories when we configure th API ( I think if we have 1000000 catogries, how manage this )
-> What is the format of the incoming mail

You only need to define the projects, categories are optional (you can use one general category). So real easy.
As for the lay-out, any lay-out will do.
All mails in the mailbox will be transferred to mantis.
Please tryit so you can see for yourself.
