Hello,

in use a Mantis 1.1.7 version.
and i have some trouble to close bugs.
bugs can be closed only in new state or in resolved state... this is OK

But only administrator can close the bug... i wanted to allow all the profils to be able to close a bug.
viewer to manager profils do not have "the change Status to : closed" option in the Issues view.

currently the workflow thresholds view is configured as follow
Allow issue to be closed on Resolve is checked in viewer column
Allow Reporter to close Issue is checked in viewer column

The workflow transition view the ACCESS LEVELS (Minimum Access Level to Change to this Status) is configured as follow
new : updater
feedback : updater
acknowledged : developer
confirmed : developer
assigned : developer
resolved : developer
closed : viewer


So where is my mistake?

Same issue, with 1.2.0.

We're entering the last stretch of a project release, and I'm faced once again with having to put everyone as 'admins' so they can close defects. Surely there's a better workflow than this when you have someone closing a defect who's neither the reporter nor the developer. (ie: 3rd set of eyes)

(And actually in this case it's even worse -- even the reporter cannot close the defect)

Hello,

I have solved my issue by changing the flag "Status where an issue becomes read only" from resolve to close in "Workflow Thresholds" view.

Doing this every body is able to close bug depending on the access levels value in the "Workflow Transitions" view.

The problem with this approach, is that on top of being able to change issue status, everybody is also able to edit any field in the issue... In my case, this is in contradiction to our process, where once the issue is resolved (i.e. development implemented, and alpha testing successful) it should not be modified.
