Mantis Bug Tracker - Forums

Hi,

I am new to Mantis and I'm looking at various hosting options available. I have seen Victor's offer and have privately contacted him with some other questions regarding that.

My question for the forum is whether Mantis can operate when PHP is running under safemode (ie safemode is turned on)? I found one post in the forum that suggested turning safemode off to fix a problem so I realise that this may not be an option.

The scripts that take time to execute extend the php time out. From memory this feature is not allowed in php safe mode. Hence, pages like the bug action group may time out in safe mode.

There may be other stuff, but this is one thing that I can remember now.

Thanks Victor. I think I will go with your hosting option instead. Many of the web hosts I've come across seem to be using safemode.
