Mantis Bug Tracker - Forums

Hi,
A friend needs some help managing change requests from his clients, and I was wondering whether I could configure Mantis for this. He works in the construction industry, but I am hoping Mantis can help. The workflow steps he needs are this:

• Customer requests change to the signed off requirements (during construction).
• Change request is submitted to a surveyor who decides how much change will cost.
• Customer then approves or declines the change (based on the cost).

So, I think this can be done in Mantis:

• User creates new issue (after gathering all details from client).
• User uploads any files/photos/etc to issue.
• When all details have been completed, user assigns issue to a surveyor (another user).
• Surveyor adds their details to the issue and then assigns back to the user who created the issue.
• User contacts client with costs, and then sets status to APPROVED or DECLINED.

What do you think? Could I configure Mantis to do this?

I think MantisBT can be used for this.
Maybe the best way is to setup a test system and show it to your friend.
