Is there a way to have the assignment of a bug automatically change on a workflow status transition?

For example, when a bug transtions from "assigned" to "resolved" have it automatically be re-assigned to the user who is the testing department head (which would be configured somewhere).

Okay, two weeks and no response, so I'll assume that this feature doesn't exist.

I've created a new feature request (issue 7150) to see if there is any interest in this.
