edit news url syntax

I'm trying to add my first news item to mantis (1.1.
but I can't get the URL to display properly. I have tried both html and wiki syntax, but neither work. What is the proper syntax to enter the equivalent of <a href="http://www.google.com">my google</a>? I just want "my google" to show on the news item page as a hyperlink to http://www.google.com. (just using google as example, that is not the real url).
