We use for the moment 4 different instances of mantis in our department for historical reasons.
Now, in order to respect some procedures in our department, we have to merge those 4 instances of mantis into 1.
I would like to know how mantis manage the ID of the bugs and the ID of the users in this situation ?
Did you already encounter this situation ?
What is the best way to do it ?
Do you have a standard tool or a parameter in order to merge instances without ID or others problems ?
Do you think that other parameters have to be taken into account ?

This issue came up before, there was a patch that was contributed which attempts to solve this problem. I am not sure what exactly the patch does and what it doesn't do.

The patch was lost when the server crashed, I've asked the contributor to resubmit the patch.
