hi all,

i have read http://www.mantisbt.org/forums/viewtopi ... et+version
and http://www.mantisbt.org/bugs/view.php?id=8360 but in fact i didn´t find solution so i would like to ask,
if there is one out in the mantis cosmos ?

of course i have read: http://www.mantisbt.org/wiki/doku.php/m ... es:roadmap
but as explained here:
Assigning target release for multiple issues?

This can be done by selecting the issues in the View Issues page and then selecting “Update Target Version” from the combo box at the bottom and clicking go. This will re-direct to a page where the target version can be selected and the setting confirmed.
i don´thave a combo-box, i only see a drop-down ;-((

i am using an older branch of 1.3.x.

thanks for any help!
micha

Maybe this plugin is what you need https://github.com/mantisbt-plugins/product-matrix (I never tried myself)

You are right, there is a drop-down, no combo-box

No good decision, as 1.3.x is an unstable developer branch
The mentioned product-matrix plugin will hardly work with 1.3.x
If you have an early version of 1.3 you can try using 1.2
Check database table mantis_config_table, search for row database_version.
If value is 183 you can try unpacking 1.2 in a new directory and copy config_inc.php from your 1.3 to 1.2 directory

This part of the wiki is the documenttaion for older versions of MantisBT
A newer one (but still talking about combo-box) can be found at http://www.mantisbt.org/docs/master-1.2 ... guide.html

what can i do if the db version is 185 ? get the latest trunk of 1.3.x ? is there a combo box or is there anyway to get back to 1.2 without loosing all my entries ???

btw... thanks for your great, detailed and fast support here!

Do you use custom fields?

Yes, but not many. Btw I installed latest 1.3 and I am very happy with this, I know it's alpha, but people did a great job here.
Why not integrate this multiple target issue into the 1.3?
Is this a big deal?

I know that 1.3 it's quite stable (at least if you are using no other language than english and if you are not using a FireFox browser)
If you don't fear using a system where you might get no fixes and upgrades, go for it.

At the moment there is no decision which one of the branches master, next and master-2.0 will be the successor of master-1.2.x
Maybe using master (1.3.x) is riding a nearly dead horse.

Be also aware that hardly any of the existing plugins for version 1.2 can be used without changes in 1.3.

There is a good chance to downgrade to 1.2 if you don't use the new custom field type "Textarea" which has been introduced in 1.3.
