How to add the 'Reopen' and 'Close' function buttons

Hi.

I've successfully added a new status 'Rejected' for this 1 project. Does anyone know how to add the function buttons 'Reopen' and 'Close' for the reporter? I've attached some screen grabs for reference.

I've googled but then got more confused than ever! Thanks so much. I'm a newbie to Mantis by the way

Check page Manage > Manage Configuration > Workflow Thresholds
There are rows for "Allow Reporter to close Issue" and "Allow Reporter to re-open Issue"

Hi atrol.

Yes, I've checked earlier and both rows are ticked.

Is it because I added the new status 'rejected', that's why the buttons are not visible for the new status?

Thanks a mil !

Does the problem just occur when working as a reporter or also when working as a developer/manager/administrator?
Check also "Workflow Transitions" page section "WORKFLOW". Is it allowed to change to the requested status if current status is rejected?

Which version of MantisBT do you use?

Hi atrol.

We are using MantisBT version 1.2.15.

The problem occurs for all the roles reporter/developer/manager/administrator only for the rejected status.

I had added 'Rejected' as a new new status for only this 1 project as the other projects don't require this status. Do I need to do some configurations on the config scripts? I've checked the workflow transitions page section but there's no reopen option for rejected which is the default for both resolved and closed status. I've highlighted these in the attachment.

Thanks a million for your attention!

As a first step you should upgrade to 1.2.19.

Hi atrol.

The technical management team is currently looking into upgrading the version.

Meantime, is there a way with the current version to add the 'Reopen' and 'Close' labels for the rejected status?

Thanks

Upgrading from 1.2.15 to 1.2.19 takes about 10 minutes.

I don't know if your problem is caused by your configuration or a bug in MantisBT 1.2.15.
I also don't know if upgrading to 1.2.19 will fix your problem, but it makes not much sense to search for a problem in 1.2.15 and maybe finally find that it has been fixed in 1.2.19.

https://www.mantisbt.org/docs/master-1. ... LL.UPGRADE

You even don't have to backup the database and to run admin/install.php as there are no database changes since 1.2.15

Hi atrol.

Thank you very much, you've been such a great help!

If it were left to me, I would have upgraded it already. But I guess I'll have to let my tech team deal with this as there are approval processes to go through before an upgrade can be done

There is probably something wrong with the processes in general. You are running a outdated version with lot of known security issues in it.
