Why is the latest release on Github from 2010?

Title says it all, just wondering why the latest release is so old... I see active development, but no one has created a "release" since 2010?

The current development is not marked as stable.

Were currently working on a new stable release. There are just a few more issues i would like to have fixed
For the moment i advise you to use the 0.9.0-DEV version from github

I'm excited to see that a new stable release on github has been created!!! It's version 0.9 stable.

Let's hope it's as stable as we all wish it to be so that we can work on new functionality
