Hallo
the best way to explain any problem is to give an example so:
User_A has created Project_A
somebody is reporting a bug regarding Project_A
Is it possible that User_A will receive automatically an e-mail when a new bug is reported to Project_A

Just answered a similar question for you ... one can also automatically assign certain categories to a specific user.
Not exactly what you asked and may be something you are wondering.

Hi ed.
Let me explain my problem in a different way.
If I am a creator of the 'Project_A'
and you are reporting an issue for this project
I would like to have this issue (be default) assigned to me.
why?
I think this is very important in case of multiple projects. If the issue is assigned to me than I can on "My View" page that there is a new issue for me. And I will receive a notification mail.

hazy

if you just want to know via email there is a new issue, you can set that via $g_notify_flags in the config file.
if you want to have the bug assigned to you (not sure if that would be the 'best' workflow process and it's your project) you could set all the project categories to be assigned to you.

I think 50% of the problem can be sovled as follows:
go to:
Workflow Thresholds or Workflow Transitions
then slelect in "Status to which a new issue is set" assigned!
then the bugs will be automatically assigned!
Unfortunatelly the bug is assinged to 'nobody' (I expected that the bug will be assined to the project owner, though)
Is it ok? Is there we can do anyghink about it?
