Is it possible to update a bug status (according to the implemented workflow ex: resolved to closed) by sending an email ?

No not at the moment

Maybe in the future when the rule system is finished but thats going to be years unless somebody else does some work in that area

EmailReporting will only reopen issues when your workflow dictates it
