Hi,

can I set up mantis in a way that only the reporter of the issue or a manages/administrator can close an issue, but the developer can't?

Didn't try, the following settings should work.

Goto page Manage > Manage Configuration > Workflow Thresholds
Enable check box "Allow Reporter to close Issue"
Click "Update Configuration"

Goto page Manage > Manage Configuration > Workflow Transitions
There is a section"Minimum Access Level to Change to this Status"
Set to "Manager" for status closed.
Click "Update Configuration"

Thanks, I tried, but there is no button or other possibility on the view issue page, to close the ticket when viewing it as the reporter.

Furthermore, if I select Edit, as the reporter, I have the option to set the resolution, but can't change the status, so when I try to set the resolution to fixed, it throws an error, that in "new" status, fixed resolution is not possible.
