Hi there,

it's long time ago since release 1.1.1 but this is the one that years ago I played with and made few changes.

After so long I'm trying to set up on a new server to keep on playing but I can't manage where the db settings are saved nor how I can start a fresh installation starting with the same code.

I did just minor changes to some css and php/html code otherwise no change

I have an old db which I can load on mysql but again, I can not find where or how to set up the new db credentials

Why do you want a fresh installation with a complete outdated Mantis version?
I would install one of the latest stable versions (1.3.5 or 2.0.0. at the moment) and check if there are the same changes needed you made in 1.1.1.
