Can any one explain why the default value on a custom list field is not working?

Could it be that this is a bug and I should report it?

Not sure, it seems you added a blank after Yes and one more before No in the list of values.
Removing the blanks should fix the issue.

Ah, ok. My bad for adding the spaces. As soon as I removed them (thinking it needed the blank separator between values), it worked. Thank you!

I added the external link for the screen shot because when I try to add an image here I get this error:

Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached.

Is this a problem in this forum? I have a screen shot if you want me to send it somewhere or to someone.
