RSS access to global or project issues list

Hi,
We've been using mantis at least 6 months and use it for tracking various software development projects internally. I think it would be incredibly useful to be able to have rss feeds for the actual issues list, using saved filter criteria. This would allow project managers to keep an eye on progress real time for issues that they are not actively subscribed to. Ideally this feature would still work on private projects, which I know the newsfeed currently does not.
Is this totally outlandish?
