Mantis Bug Tracker - Forums

I need to display an hyperlink in a description filed. I know Mantis automatically recognises urls but I don't want to display the entire url but a text.
I've tried to add a tag to the $g_html_valid_tag variable but it seems to be ignored.
Ideas ?

One option is to use a service like https://tinyurl.com/app to create short url's.

One could create a customization to add a feature like that to MantisBT as a plugin. It might be an interesting challenge if you like programming. I think the feature might appeal to many MantisBT users.
