Browser displays MantisBT wrong - Position of menus

Post by KaiJ »

Hello,

I'm sorry if this topic has already been adressed in another topic but I couldn't find it.

We recently moved our MantisBT from one Server to another, we wanted to change the version of MantisBT and managed to sucessfully upgrade it and integrate the database.
We managed to run Apache and PHP is working, we can acess our old entries and can use it as we want. So the migration seemed to have worked.
This is our current installation info:

Now to our problem:
The browser (doesn't matter which one) displays MantisBT wrong.
This is how it looks ATM:

We tried different kind of themes which did change the color and fonts, but we couldn't figure out how to get the menues and sitebars and stuff into the right position.

Please let me know if you need any other infos from me. :-)
If you could share any information on how to fix it , we would be very gratefull!

Thanks in advance!
Kai

Try clearing the browser cache.
Check the browser console for errors or warnings.
Deactivate any customization you might have done, e.g any custom css.

Thanks for your advice. Tried it before, two different brwosers with cleared cache, same result.
I will try it again, but dont have high hopes for it to work.

I used the official release of MantisBT v. 2.25.2 nothing changed and installed it with /admin/install.php
No changes where made to the files in the folder despite those made by the installation itself.

Tried different kind of Plugins for the UI but they all just colored everything different but didnt really change the position.

Maybe its a problem with the apache or with php settings? I am not very experienced with those thing.

Are ther any more informations which I could provide to fix the issue?

Thanks, Kai.

Did you run admin/check/index.php?
Any errors or warnings?

Any errors or warning in server logs (PHP, web server)?

Please don't, as it might introduce even more issues.
First fix the current issue, then you can try plugins.

Are you sure you are running a clean 2.25.2 version?
How did you install?

The PHP error log shows '/usr/share/javascript/min' referenced by the login page.
There is not any reference to such a folder in original MantisBT source code.

We renamed folder "javascript" many years ago to "js" as there was a bug on Ubuntu

We figuerd it out.

We had to change the /etc/apache2/apache2.conf and comment the line application/x-httpd-php

Thanks for your help.
