Sending to a different port for SMTP

My SMTP server listens on port 587 and not 25. How do I set this up in the mantisbt config? I tried putting ":587" after the host name but no luck...

Add this line to file config/config_inc.php

$g_smtp_port = 587;

So what is the message, did you checked the logs?
