Has anyone put together even an informal migration script to pull data from TRAC (including milestones, components, etc) and insert into relevant fields in Mantis?

This is all very old software (trac, and the trac2mantis script) and I've been banging my head against a wall with trying to get this to work in a slightly more modern environment.
I haven't got to trying to get trac2mantis to interface with the mantis installation, I'm guessing there's gonna be issues there too.
We have 15 years of data in Trac. Not being able to migrate the data is gonna be a hard sell in migrating to MantisBT. We are wanting off of Trac due to it running under python, and on a good day Trac is cantankerous.

My company provides data migrations, and we have used MantisBT since 2000.
Data migrations can be costly and time consuming. The biggest obstacle is verifying that the new database is a truly accurate representation of the old system; that task falls to the user/client. The upshot is that it may be worthwhile but you need to consider the time versus benefit angle.
I am happy to answer a question if I can.

It's not that hard. I wrote a script to automate a lot of it. I did have to tweak some things on the fly, and cleaned up some dates afterwards, mostly from lack of experience with Mantis.
All in all, would do again. Would NOT do it for someone else.
