no email notification for ticket creation

Hello, all my notifications work except for when a ticket is created. I have followed every previously relatable post in here and none seems applicable. I have every single box checked in the email notification section. I have g_email_receive_own set to ON as well. Any ideas as to what else I can check?
One thing is I don't have a status called "new" as some other threads say. You can see in my screen shot. Do I have to have a status matching that in order for creation to work?
