WARN - Version of MySQL being used is within the Premier Support period

Post by linux.cero.07 »

Have a very good morning everyone, I want to apologize for my bad English.

This is the scenario:
I have installed on a virtual machine:

Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS
MantisBT version 2.26.0
Database schema version 211
PHP version 8.1.2-1ubuntu2.14
mysqli database driver
Database version; Description 8.0.35, 8.0.35-0ubuntu0.22.04.1

The installation process is good (all items)

The problem that I have not been able to solve is the error in the checklist:

I have a warning in the database section:

Database
Version of MySQL being used is within the Premier Support period (GA + 5 years)
Premier Support for the release of MySQL you are using (8.0.35) ended on 04-19-2023. The release is in its Extended support period, which ends on 04-19-2026. You should upgrade to a newer version of MySQL which is still within its Premier support period to benefit from bug fixes and security patches.

I haven't found any help on the forum.

Can someone tell me if this is a major problem or should I ignore it?

it can be fixed?

Many thanks to the community in advance.

You can ignore it for now but better update mysql version to a later version.

Good morning, thank you for responding.

I don't understand about updating mysql, it is already in its latest version.

when I run:

apt-get upgrade mysql-server

Reading package list... Done
Creating dependency tree... Done
Reading status information... Done
mysql-server is now in its latest version (8.0.36-0ubuntu0.22.04.1).

Everything indicates that the latest version of MYSQL is installed.

I thought there might be some mistake.

Thank you very much !!!

Hello, I have already managed to update mysql to version 8.3

Now the message is the following:

Database
MySQL Lifecycle and Release Support data availability
Release information for MySQL 8.3 series is not available, unable to perform the lifecycle checks.

I don't think it's a mistake, or is it?

Everything is OK from your side.
There is just no check for this MySQL version available in current MantisBT check function.
Please use Search before posting and read the Manual
