How to reset the administrator password?

I use MantisBT v2.25.7.
For some reason, the "administrator" password does not work anymore. Whenever I try to log in I get the error message
Your account may be disabled or blocked or the username/password you entered is incorrect.
How do I reset the password outside the web app? I have full access to the MySQL database and root shell access to the server. It is surprising that this information is nowhere to be found in the user's guide.
